Hello, Michael Scott and myself, Amy Henning, are raising funds to start, HOPE; FROM ME TO YOU, a live donor awareness group. In Wisconsin alone, the waiting period for transplant organs is 5-7 years, where most patients die before that time. Every year approximately 114,000 men, women, and children in the United States await an organ transplant. 82% of those patients are waiting for a kidney, while 13% of those patients are waiting for a liver. More than 7000 transplants were made possible in 2018 by living donors.
