EEG-Now was formed by Neurology professionals and a business team to meet an urgent patient need. Patients in hospitals throughout the US are not receiving prompt 24/7 diagnosis of life-threatening conditions such as non-convulsive seizures. The reason for the shortfall is a critical shortage of EEG technologists, particularly during evenings and weekends. EEG-Now developed an EEG headset that novices, not trained in EEG (such as onsite nurses), can easily apply after hours. During the course of this development patent protection was attained along with FDA clearance. EEG-Now is based in Gainesville, Fl. and has manufactured and sold thousands of these EEG sensor arrays to hospitals across the US.
