About Me

Dr. Washington serves as the clinical thought leader and spokesperson for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana (BCBSLA) and is responsible for developing and executing a strategy that both improves the quality of health care delivered to the company’s members and improves cost and efficiency. As CMO, he is directly responsible for managing the integrated clinical operation. Dr. Vindell Washington was previously National Coordinator for Health Information Technology in the US Department of Health and Human Services.
