About Me

As managing partner at KBT, Mr. Kaufman provides merger and acquisition, alliance, and strategic consulting services to healthcare technology firms. He was previously EVP at Eclipsys Corporation (ECLP) where he was responsible for all of the company’s corporate development, M&A, alliances, product strategy, and new business development. He helped bring the company public, and grow the company to a billion dollar plus major player in the HIT arena.Prior to Eclipsys, Mr. Kaufman was the CEO of SDK Healthcare Information Systems. He serves on the board of several Universitie, healthcare startups and VC firms and is a partner in the Converge Venture Capital Group. He holds a BA and an MBA from Boston University and an MSW in social policy and administration from Washington University.
