About Me

After over 15 years on the front lines of healthcare delivery I am now immersed in healthcare technology solutions. From the start of my career, my goal has been to improve healthcare with the creation of solid tools that support and manage solid process. To date, healthcare is severely behind other industries in business intelligence and automation tools, but my company addresses those gaps. I am not afraid to work. I had temp jobs in high school including that of a garbage man, factory worker, and roofer. After undergrad, I spent 5+ years working myself through, at the time, seemingly low end healthcare related activities as a manager including such areas as resource scheduling, appointment scheduling, accounts receivable, operations and patient services. Now these experiences have proved invaluable when I work with physicians and managers to improve profitability and the overall satisfaction of everyone involved in healthcare. I continued to work and obtain a MHA while beginning to travel to find work that interested me and suited my skills. I started this adventure with one of the large consulting firms (BearingPoint) and then moved to a growing niche firm (EthosPartners now Navigant) specializing in physician group practices. I was primarily on long term assignments in Cleveland, Spartanburg, Atlanta, and New York. In between these assignments I spent some time growing a relationship with DJ Ortho to build a DME solution for orthopaedic practices. I spent three years working in operations for Lifetime Health Medical Group located in Buffalo and Rochester, New York where we worked to redefine patient care for the future and try to figure out ways to fund those changes. In 2011, I continued this care redesign work with Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, a 600 physician medical group owned by a large hospital system. Now my focus is software solutions that support the improvement of our health system.
