His laborious vigor to become the best eye surgeon in Varanasi is now evident in the passion of his son, Dr. Shantanu Kumar Gupta, who scored AIR 50 in the AIPMT, 2007 (Now NEET) and is now referred to as the best eye specialist doctor in Varanasi. Beginning from a small eye care centre at Luxa, Varanasi, Dr. Rajesh Gupta named the centre after his able-son, along with whom he has now set up a sprawling, state-of-the-art centre in Deen Dayal Colony, Near Kabir Naga
