About Me

Clarence D. Holmes Sr. is one of Hip Hop's Original Beat Box Pioneers. His stage name is Ready Rock C. He was born in Philadelphia were he attended Private and Public Schools. After graduating high school, In 1988 Ready Rock’s career began quick with a recording contract from Word Up/Zomba/Jive Records. He signed it along with Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff. The group was named “DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince” including Ready Rock C as a co founder. Although Ready Rock was kept in the background, he did more than seen on the surface. He is a drummer/percussionist who also wrote songs on the groups first 2 albums. One of the songs he co-wrote named “Parents Just Don’t Understand was the trio’s first mega hit. Ready Rock currently writes Christian and Inspirational music. He is a Certified MULTI PLATINUM Artist/Producer/Writer. The Smash hit "Parents Just Don’t Understand" ignited Will Smith's entertainment career which led him to greater success. Ready Rock C is one of the first Rap Artists to win a GRAMMY. He is most known for his inventive Beat Boxing skills all over the world. He toured and performed with many Hip Hop Icons, including Run-DMC, LL Cool J, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, KRS 1, Eric B and Rakim, Public Enemy, EPMD, Kid and Play, Heavy D, Salt N Pepa, Whodini, UTFO and more. He has performed throughout the world! Ready has also recorded with Steven Ford on the “WINANS CHRISTMAS PROJECT” aired on FOX TV. Last but not least, He has debut on the E! channel for episodes “It’s GOOD TO BE WILL AND JADA” and “TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY”. Since retiring from his entertainment career, Clarence then furthered his education receiving his Bachelors in Business Administration, Real Estate Sales License and PA Notary Public. Presently he works diligently as a Real Estate Professional. His integrity and work ethics has led him to becoming a successful Real Estate Professional.
