The Problem we solve:
Yearly 22,850 people are diagnosed with cancerous tumors in the US alone. After a diagnose, patients are often overwhelmed with treatment options, instructions and information. mindapp helps patients to organize the medical treatments and communicate with the hospital or each other.
Our Solution
mindapp is a clear and user-friendly memory aid for patients that go through a long process of treatment without mistakes.
Why We Care
Interaction designer Frederik van den Broek was diagnosed with a brain tumor three years ago. The tumor has returned and is incurable. Due to reduced brain capacity are things like taking medicine, making appointments almost impossible. He could not believe his hospital didn’t offer a digital help for his treatment. So he decided to dedicate his last year to developing mindapp for himself and for his fellow and future patients.
How mindapp Works:
- New patients get their treatment programmed into the mindapp, provided by their hospital or insurance company: pills and visit schedules.
- The mindapp is already connected to their unique electronic patient file.
mindapp:
- Keeps a daily or weekly medical log of the patients condition and communicates this log directly with their team at the hospital.
- Allows the patient to register and keep track of its condition/symptoms on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
- Prepares doctors and oncologists for consultations on beforehand
- Facilitates communication with fellow patients, friends & family.

How We Help Patients:
Mindapp helps people who suffer from a brain tumor/brain injury to manage their complicated treatment.
How We Help Doctors (or Other Care Givers):
mindapp facilitates doctor-patient communication during the treatment by providing a daily platform with easy 3-second questions about how a patient is feeling. Responses are directly linked to the patient file for a doctor to take action or prepare the next meeting with the patient.
How We Help Hospitals, Institutions, and/ or Medical Facilities:
mindapp helps the hospital by making appointments and communication with the patients easier, allowing personalized treatment
How We Help Our Partners:
We help pharmaceutical companies to improve the results of their treatments. We help insurance companies to make the treatment more efficient.
How We Will Spend Your Contributions:
All contributions will be spend on the development of the app, the communication with the partners (hospitals, insurance company).
