About Me

George Mathew, M.D. is the Chief Medical Officer for the North American Healthcare organization for DXC Technology, the entity created by the merger between Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services and CSC. In this role, Dr. Mathew serves as the clinical expert and healthcare thought leader to our healthcare clients in the transforming healthcare marketplace. Dr. Mathew joined Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services from Aetna/ActiveHealth where he served as the Medical Director for Quality and Analytics Programs. He was responsible for the building and maintenance of the quality measures library supporting their proprietary analytics platform software. His experience includes consulting, technology development, and business development work at GE, Goldman, Sachs and Co., WebMD, and Pfizer. Dr. Mathew brings a strong technology innovation focus to this role having founded a healthcare technology start-up earlier in his career, and advises several healthcare IT startups through the Health 2.0-NYC community. Dr. Mathew graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Greenwich Hospital/Yale University in Connecticut. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Dr. Mathew is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Clinical Informatics and Medical Quality. Dr. Mathew also currently serves as a member of CMS’ Office of the National Coordinator – Health Information Technology Joint Consumer Task Force. He is based in New York City and continues to practice medicine as a hospitalist at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.
