The problem we solve: MCI Medical Alert Wristbands, allow people with unique medical conditions and allergies, to live their lives normally. Knowing, that should they be in an accident, or have a sudden medical emergency, they have a wristband that will alert Emergency Medical personnel to their pre-existing medical condition.
About our solution: Our solution was simple, a 100% latex-free, silicone wristband, with pre-printed medical conditions. Most of the existing medical alert bracelets are made of metal and can cause skin irritation. The metal can foster the growth of bacteria and germs. MCI Medical Alert Wristbands are very light weight and the user forgets that they are wearing one.
Progress to date:We began selling our medical alert wristbands at the end of February. WE created a FaceBook page and started "boosting posts," we targeted diabetes, heart and COPD groups. We saw immediate sales. We know that if we can get the word out, we can sell the product. This product fills a need, of actually helping people who have pre-existing medical conditions.
Since we have begun selling, we have received many requests from people, asking us to expand the number of medical conditions and allergies that we cover; which is exactly what we want to do. We want to cover all the mainstream conditions and the rare conditions as well.
Anyone can go from happy and healthy one minute and the next to be in an accident or having a serious medical condition. When that happens, MCI medical alert wristbands, speak for you when you can't speak for yourself. They instantly notify emergency medical personnel of your condition. They also remind teachers and caregivers of your medical conditions.
We would like to expand and have our wristbands for sale in major drug stores and pharmacies. We need money to expand the product line for adults and children. We have had great feedback from early customers. For us MCI medical alert wristbands is not a job, it is a labor of love. We truly feel like we are making a difference, we are providing a product that helps people and saves lives.
