About our project

The problem we solve: The lack of structured clinical data in EMR systems. Most EMR systems just digitize the medical record and store it in a NoSQL database. Structured data would allow interoperability and Machine Learning to help find the answers hidden in large amounts of structured clinical medical data which will lead to breakthroughs in new treatments and cures for diseases. Having individual patients data structured could potentially be a lifesaver. With the growing interoperability in healthcare, the ability to get vital patient data to caregivers wherever they are, almost instantly is becoming a reality. Clinical structured data could be a invaluable tool for doctors when a patients life is on the line.

About our solution: NeuronOne is a hybrid blend of Artificial Intelligence, human knowledge, and a dynamic intuitive database. The AI and our unique process work together to allow the Data Entry operators and Data Specialist Abstractors to be accurate and efficient. Our unique, dynamic, and comprehensive database offers guided selections that helps with structuring the data. Any items that cannot be answered by the current operator can be flagged for review in the next application, Data Validation. In Data Validation a more versed, specialized operator will be given the item that could not be answered and the image or images required to find the answer. Data Validation allows the operator to pass on the question as well which will raise the urgency and it can then be elevated to someone higher up to answer it.

Progress to date:

There are three applciations and an Administration portal the comprise the NeuronOne suite. The three applicaitons will be avaliable in both web and Windows clients - same functionality. Currently all three Windows client applications are in rough beta shape. The center applciaiton, called Data Entry, is the most involved and the web version of this application is in beta format. The Administration portal is in prototype form. Software is not ready to be tested by customers. All corespondence we have had has been positive. Most have said this is a huge problem in health care with no real solution yet.

How We Help Patients

Our software will allow medical caregivers to have the knowledge necessary to give patients the best care possible. Medical mistakes are a huge cause of mortality. Having a patients full medical profile in structured form so analyzing could be done, will help caregivers make the best desicions and therefore offer the best care.

How We Help Physicians

Physicians and physician practices will benefit from our software by reduced medical mistakes which should lower malpractice claims. Would also allow them to offer items that could only be gotten by analyzing structured medical data. Perhaps combing attributes with other patients to access risk for diseases.

This is unqiue software that already has found a much needed use.

Investor Info

Market Size

Inital focus is getting ACOG notes in the cloud. Recently partnered with Nautilus Medical which instantly gives us credability and a large OBGYN client base. This is a huge problem for a variaty of reasons with no universal solution. Nautilus is in contact with many of the 7500 OBGYN practices in the USA. By our calculations about 40% of the practices would be interested in our soluton. Cost to each practice would be around $1000.00 year which is simply to cover costs. Real revenue is in the use by the hospitals.

Projected 3 Year Growth

After ACOG notes we aim to apply the software platform to other specialty practices such as geriatrics, cardiaology, orthapedics, etc. Any medical speciality where hospital interaction is  probable and detailed structured information is vital.

Revenue Model

Engage OBGYN practices and offer to structure all their pregant clients data and make it interoperable in the cloud for a flat fee. This is simply to cover costs. All the notes will be structured and made avaliable in a secure interface to hospitals. The bulk of the revenue is in hospital access.

Competitors

Currently only Epic has a solution to this and that is only if the hospital and the prenatal OBGYN practice is using Epic and the correct interfaces are avalable and configurd. This is a small number becuse of the high cost of Epic. Many OBGYN practices are associated with many hospitals and a preganant mother can deliver a baby at any hospital, even ones the OBGYN practice does not normally associate with.

Traction

Recent partner with Nautilus Medical who associates with a large amount of OBGYN practices in the USA. With the roughly 7500 OBGYN practices in the USA we should have access to sell to about 3000 initially with more once the value is realized. Product is in beta form and will need funding to create enterprise version.
