The Problem we solve
Today’s healthcare workstations are built to use current technology (computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard and a separate desk) New methods of working with smart devices, tablets, touchscreen, WiFi and Cloud technology are not easily incorporated into current healthcare workstations. The future of the touchscreen/tablet hardware that is becoming popular demands an integration of information technology for the user. Our healthcare workstation will easily accommodate users of various technology levels (current to future) thereby limiting new furniture to be bought every few years. The new design we incorporate will allow users to use two modes either touchscreen or the more traditional monitor and keyboard. Both will be available on our workstation.
The Next Wave in Healthcare Workstations
This new design of our healthcare workstation integrates the workstation, smart devices and computer into one simple device. This will allow for the use of a larger touchscreen monitor that enables images, medical records and health information to be shared with multiple providers, patients and family members.
How Informacio Works
The workstation has been designed to incorporate a 27 inch touchscreen monitor/computer that can be used as a surface-level workstation which will allow several people to view/interact with the monitor as well as easily changed to an upright position (similar to a traditional computer). For those who prefer the use of a keyboard/mouse, this has been imbedded in the computer desk, to take up less room on the desk surface. The workstation allows the integration of smart devices such as tablets and smart phones to be used with the workstation.

How We Help Patients
This workstation will allow better communication and collaboration between patients and providers. It will allow for easier sharing when reviewing images, charts, any lab results etc. The more the patient can understand what is occurring, they will be more engaged in their health care. This workstation computer can use current electronic medical record applications such as EPIC and CERNER. (The application will be dependent on what is used by the facilities or providers offices – not be a part of the workstation concept). It will allow physicians to utilize touchscreen technology to draw, notate and write notes onto Cat Scans, MRI, patient notes and other medical records that need to be updated. In addition, it can be used with a tablet which has pre-screening applications installed (per the institution’s preference) prior to a physician meeting with a patient.
How We Help Doctors and Care Givers
Our product will utilize touchscreen/tablet technology, which can enhance information sharing of patient information with the patient themselves and allows providers to view the same patient care information. In addition, this will help to engage the patient in their care (as per Meaningful Use, ACO regulations). The provider and the patient can easily view the details of the patient care on the large touchscreen. For those providers who prefer the mouse, keyboard computer/monitor technology, this new product will also accommodate this need, and still have the same benefits of being able to share information with the patient. One workstation can accommodate various types of users – so additional workstations may not have to be purchased for each user type in the office.
How We Help Hospitals, Institutions, and/ or Medical Facilities:
Technical furniture in facilities has a limited life span, when new furniture has to be repurchased to accommodate new technology. With this new workstation, furniture turnaround will not have to occur as frequently and result in a cost savings for the facilities. New technologies can easily be integrated in this new workstation, including new versions of tablets, smart phones and other digital devices.
