Whether you want to speak with a doctor over the phone, or video conference one-on-one, our U.S. board-certified physicians can diagnose, recommend, treat and write short-term, and write non-DEA prescriptions when necessary. Medical Degrees; Education Certifications: (post grad, internship, residency, fellowship); All current Medical Licenses; Current Board Certifications; All current DEA Licenses; Digital photos; # CP575 form (if being contracted under a Professional Corporation)

We want My OnCall Doc to be affordable for anyone, anywhere, at anytime. We offer 3 ways to join our community and get you connected to doctors, on-demand. Each TeleHealth visit costs $49.00

1. Monthly: $9.95 (does not include TeleHealth visit costs)
2. $99.00 per year (does not include TeleHealth visit costs)
3. Pay As You Go: $75.00 to speak with a provider

How We Will Spend Your Contributions

We anticipate a 6 month timeline to complete this project. We fully intend to adhere to the critical path however; as in all projects there is risk that the launch date could be longer than July 31st, 2014.

Is My OnCall Doc Available in my state?

We are constantly adding Doctors to our network. We are currently offer services in these states:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas (Medicaid), Virginia

Will I be reimbursed for each call through my insurance?

At launch, My OnCall Doc will not be setup to process billing for insurance but it is on the roadmap for future development. 20 states and the District of Columbia require that private insurers cover telehealth the same as they cover in-person services. Many other insurers cover at least some telehealth service—and many more have expressed interest in expanding their telehealth coverage. To find out if your insurance company covers telehealth services, please contact your benefits manager. If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Health Spending Account (HSA) you may be able to use the money in these accounts to pay for your membership and for the doctor visits, you should check with your provider of these accounts to ensure that your plan covers the expense.

Does insurance coverage the membership costs for My OnCall Doc?

Currently, not all states have legislation that allows for the billing of telemedicine sessions through insurance. Many states are actively working on changes to their laws to support telemedicine. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) also has language that supports telemedicine. As the ASA continues to roll out to each state support for telemedicine will continue to grow. If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Health Spending Account (HSA) you may be able to use the money in these accounts to pay for your membership and for the doctor visits, you should check with your provider of these accounts to ensure that your plan covers the expense.

Is TeleMedicine safe?

Yes. Guided by technical standards and clinical practice guidelines, and backed by decades of research and demonstrations, telemedicine is a safe and cost-effective way to extend the delivery of healthcare. ATA has produced a series of standards, guidelines and best practices for healthcare providers to ensure that they are using telemedicine responsibly. Telemedicine is the delivery of health-related services and information via telecommunications technologies, including telephones and personal computers – other references include telemedicine, teletherapy, telepsychiatry and virtual consultations. Among the most significant benefits are convenient access to healthcare professionals without scheduling appointments, along with avoiding travel and wasted time in crowded waiting rooms, lowering costs for quality care, and more.

Can My OnCall Docs write prescriptions?

Our doctors can prescribe medication. No scheduled drugs are prescribed. Upon the completion of your virtual visit the prescribing doctor will call in your script to the pharmacy listed in your account profile.

How do you select doctors?

At My OnCall Doc we follow the highest standards for doctors entering our network and use third party agencies to recruit and verify credentials at the minimum:

1. Medical Degrees
2. Education Certifications: post grad, internship, residency, fellowship
3. All current Medical Licenses
4. Current Board Certifications
5. All current DEA Licenses
6. Digital photo (Smartphone photos are acceptable – suit coat or labcoat required)
7. CP575 form (if being contracted under a Professional Corporation)
