How We Help Patients

The Prescription Notification Group has developed the Take Meds Now application in order to help combat this ongoing national health crisis. As a cloud based application, Take Meds Now provides patients with a secure, reliable methodology to manage their prescription medications; including a detailed notification system that ensures no medications are missed, mixed up, or taken incorrectly. It is the purpose of Take Meds Now to help patients take their prescription drugs properly and avoid the adverse effects, complications, and injuries that come with improper adherence.

Our proprietary closed-loop system allows patients to provide account access to their doctors, helping close the communications gap with healthcare professionals. Fine-tuned through numerous trials, Take Meds Now offers doctors, hospitals, and caregivers a methodology to accurately monitor, measure, and analyze patient adherence for more targeted follow-ups and the improvement of healthcare services. The aggregate data gathered by Take Meds Now can also be used by pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, and insurance companies to develop marketing strategies, improve services, and even develop new products.

Making sure that you are taking your prescription medications properly is incredibly important. Yet, each year hundreds of thousands of Americans are hospitalized because of the adverse reactions associated with improper prescription drug usage. As high as 16% of all U.S. hospital admissions are related to improper prescription drug usage; which equates to over 600,000 emergency room visits and over 125,000 deaths each year.

What is most concerning about all of this? The overwhelming majority of these cases are avoidable… especially with the right tools.

TAKE MEDS NOW OFFERS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY PEACE OF MIND.

Our application is designed to ensure that you, or your loved ones, never mix up, miss a dose, or take the wrong amount of a prescription medication. By filling out a detailed profile complete with your current medications, including short and long-term therapies, we provide you with automated notifications when it is time to take your medications. Take Meds Now also includes quick-view dashboards, so you have an accurate view of how well you are doing in taking your medications.

Ultimately, Take Meds Now is designed to offer you and your family with peace of mind. We want to help ensure that you are taking your prescription medications properly, so you can avoid any adverse reactions or complications that can accompany improper prescription drug usage. We allow for users to loop in family, friends, and caregivers - so those who need to know how you are doing with your medications are informed.

Take Meds Now also allows for you to connect your account with your Doctors. Not only will this keep your doctors up to date on how you are doing with your prescription medications, but can improve communication, follow-ups, and your overall healthcare.

Our robust features are designed to help eliminate these common scenarios:

  • Forgetting to take a medication
  • Taking the wrong amount of medication
  • Mixing up medications
  • Forgetting whether or not a dose was taken
  • Accidentally doubling up on a dose

Security

Take Meds Now is designed with the highest levels of security. We ensure that all personal data is highly secure, and all feature functions are in complete compliance with HIPAA regulations. This is done by employing a number of layers of security: including firewalls, SSL security, and multiple forms of modular data encryption. Making sure that your personal data is safe and secure is our highest priority, and we take every measure possible to continuously implement the latest security measures. Ultimately, we understand that you are trusting Take Meds Now with the most sensitive information you have - so we use the latest security measures and never share any identifiable data with 3rd parties.

Bottom line our goal is to save lives, anyone with a mobile device can use our service.  It is more than an app because physicians and pharmacists can perform all kinds of analytics not possible even a few years.  Anyone, that takes prescription medication can and should use this service. Any family member that has a sick elderly parent, brother, sister or child can find some  peace of mind using our service.  Thank you for your time and consideration and God Bless you all for your assistance.

How We Help Physicians

Why Take Meds Now -How Take Meds Now Can Help You

The pharmaceutical industry is growing at an exponential rate, with over 4 billion prescriptions written in the U.S. each year. With the prevalence of prescription drugs among American households, patient adherence has become a major issue for the healthcare industry. In fact, failure to properly adhere to prescription medications leads to over 600,000 injuries and 125,000 deaths each year within the U.S. The scope of this problem is so large, it is considered by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as a full-blown epidemic.

The physcian receives an updated dashboard daily of all thei patients. The physician can see with takemedsnow what patients are doing well by taking their medications and which ones aren't.  The dashboard allows the physician to look at dozens of patients in a manner of seconds.  Using our messging system  the doctor then can send a message to those that aren't taken their medication properly and find out if there are any issues.

How We Help Hospitals

Hospitals and Clinics -Improve Service Offerings and Avoid Patient Adherence Fines

Apart from individual patients, hospitals and clinics may be the most effected by the problem of patient adherence. The epidemic that is improper usage of prescription drugs sends hundreds of thousands of patients to the hospital… placing a tremendous strain on hospital resources. This is compounded by the steep fines a hospital or clinic may face if a patient is re-admitted within a month for the same ailment they were previously treated and released for. Not only is this a further strain on available resources, it is incredibly frustrating if the re-admittance is due to non-compliance with prescribed therapies.

The Prescription Notification Group developed Take Meds Now to provide hospitals and clinics with a powerful system that reliably and accurately tracks and demonstrates actual patient adherence behaviors. Our cloud-based application sends automated medication reminders to patient computers and mobile devices (both iOS and Android), who must then manually confirm each dose as taken or the system records it as a miss. This creates a detailed patient adherence history that identifies improper usage and failure to comply with short and long-term prescription drug therapies.

Take Meds Now includes a powerful analytics engine that can measure patient adherence in a number of ways. Hospitals and clinics can segment patients based on doctor or department, measure patient adherence by individual patients, across doctor and/or department, or across all patients… so gaps and trends can be identified. The in-depth analytics offer unparalleled insight into patient adherence trends, so hospitals and clinics can avoid undeserved fines, explore mitigation strategies, and ultimately improve patient adherence.

  • Prove what patients return to the ER due to non-compliance
  • Avoid costly fines
  • Improve patient adherence

Below are several of the features and benefits of using Take Meds Now:

Feature Benefit
Patient adherence as a service Providing Take Meds Now to patients as a value add service can help improve patient adherence and the efficacy of short and long-term therapies
Patient adherence metrics by individual patient Hospitals and clinics can demonstrate actual adherence and identify if treatment failures are caused by ineffective/incorrect treatment or patient failure to adhere to prescribed therapies
Patient adherence metrics by individual doctor or department Individual doctors, PAs, departments, etc. can be segmented and measured independently to identify trends and explore mitigation strategies

How we will use the funds raised

Funding will be used to create analytics that can be used by the phsicians and pharmacists to provide better care and support of the patients.

This will require gathering data that the physician can use to help monitor the results of your medication.   Tyoe 2 diabetes requires capturin insulin data ]and sharing that with your physician in real time.  Better digital data = better care and results.  This is also the next step in personal management of your medical records and the creation of a medical wallet.   If you get sick and your traveling but you have takemedsnow you will be able to share that data with the attending  physician from your phone

Thank You

Everyday people mainly seniors are dying or winding up in the hospital from accident misuse of their prescription medication.  We formed this company to save people lives and to help people stay mobile.  We took two years of focus groups to design a program that requires a patient to answer thier phone and swipe or click that they have taken the medication.  A personal dashboard is then provided to the individual to see how well they are doing in taking their medication. The number one reason for accidental deaths and trips to the hospital is that the patient cant remember if he or she took their medication.  Sometimes the medication itself makes you drowsy and you forget.  If you ravel and get sick you may not remember all the medications and supplements you are taking and that can result in a poison cocktail.   There is a lack of tools in the industry to assist people stay healthy and link thta data back to not only the physician but friends and family because support, family support is critical to the well being of a person who is on medication.   Our goal simple, it is to save lives and we hope you join us in saving lives and providing piece of mind when  taking your Prescription Medication. TakeMedsNow.com does this and much mch more with your help!!
