The problem we solve: ER's have been blamed for rising healthcare costs. ER's are often accessed for routine care resulting in high cost and low quality care. This is expected to cost the healthcare in excess of 100B/year.
About our solution:
Care52 is a marketplace for the 10,000 urgent centers. Using technology plus navigators, we help triage patients to urgent care, thus mitigating costs related to unnecessary ER visits. Patients obtain higher quality care while also reporting a higher net promotor score. A potential exists to increase the number of Urgent care visits by over 100M. UCC are expected to pay a monthly subscription for services.

Web and mobile application are ready and live. Users of the site number several thousand a month. we list every urgent care center in the US. 50 urgent care centers have signed up for our services. Capital will be used for sales to urgent care centers and optimizing enhancing SEO/website traffic.

Bio: I am a physician by training with 25 years of clinical experience in ER/urgent care medicine; the last 15 as a gastroenterologist. Alongside, I have had an interest in AI and HIT over 15 years, having developed expert diagnostic systems for complex conditions in with collaborators at school of Applied Math at Stony brook University. I also currently have a portfolio of investments spanning healthtech. I am a frequent speaker at national conferences on AI in Medicine. I have served in various roles including heading divisional development at a University Medical Center, Senior Faculty at Medical University, TEDMED scholar, GI FDA Adcom, member of the MedStartr Investment Review Committee, advisor to various startups including HIT and device companies.
The mobile application helps patients access the appropriate level of care for episodic and unexpected medical emergencies. It help them save costs and also provide a superior experience.

Care52 will help guide the individual with sudden onset unanticipated medical problems seek the right level of care. Care52 utilizes interactive texting, chatbots and real care navigators. This is a win-win. While convenient for patients it also saves the payors significant costs which likely represent 10-15% of the overall spend for payors and other entities such as accontable care organizations.
